Literature Search
Compiled by Barry R. Ashpole, Board Member.
IAHPC’S LITERATURE SEARCH is intended as an advocacy, research and teaching tool for colleagues who are active – or who have expressed a special interest – in palliative and end-of-life care. Its goal is keep its readers abreast of “current thinking” and also of emerging or related issues.
Each month since March 2023, IAHPC posted a listing of current articles and reports on key issues on palliative and end-of-life care. Past editions were grouped under ‘Access to Care,’ ‘Policy & Practice,’ ‘Education & Training,’ ‘Essential Medicines,’ ‘Research Issues,’ etc., etc.
Beginning with the October 2024 edition Literature Search will in future focus on a specific issue or topic. Articles will be annotated with open, online access to the full text prioritized. A few that are especially noteworthy, however, may require a fee or subscription. In some cases only an abstract may be available online.
