Register for IAHPC 2021 Advocacy Course on October

After the success of the 2020 “Advocating for Palliative Care in the Multilateral System" (Basic) Course, we are pleased to announce the development of a comprehensive advocacy course for palliative care, free for IAHPC members. The course consists of several modules, which will be released monthly.

Modules will comprise short lectures (no more than 40 minutes), reading lists, recordings, related videos, and optional assignments. IAHPC members who register for all modules, complete short assignments (one per module) and a final project, will be awarded a certificate of completion.

The first module entitled “Global advocacy framework, institutional landscape” is now available online.

  • Global advocacy framework, institutional landscape
  • Advocating for essential medicines
  • The evidence base - IAHPC data platform and other indices
  • How to develop a needs assessment and policy brief
  • Palliative care integration
  • Advocacy for palliative care education
  • Advocacy for policy - Case study: PC advocacy topics in a UN entity conference agenda and development of appropriate advocacy strategy
  • Communication and presentation techniques
  • Leadership skills
