Pallinews: Advocacy report, tributes to Dr. Anne, & in the Zoom Room

The newly released Atlas of Palliative Care in the European Region 2025 reveals education gaps & inequitable access to essential palliative care medicines.

"Examining Systemic Failures and Workforce Erosion through the Palliative Care Lens" is the title of IAHPC's May 28 submission to the United Nations' Special Rapporteur on the right to health. The summary states, in part, that "Systemic failures are inflicting devastating moral distress on healthcare workers, especially in end-of-life care... Resilience alone is insufficient; we must dismantle systemic barriers through comprehensive training, clear guidelines, and robust labor protections."

Pest alert! A bug recently found in the IAHPC Directory of Palliative Care Institutions and Organizations blocked the posting of new listings. It has been fixed. If your institution filled out a form to add its listing in the past six months, please check to see if it is one of the current 2,178 listings. If not, please repeat the process.
