The October 18 session, titled "Palliative Care for Everyone and by Everyone: A Large Global Village," involves seven panelists: palliative care doctors and program managers, and a woman who became a vocal advocate after her husband died of pancreatic cancer. Register here.

Pallium Canada is one of 33 "superhubs" in the world that offer educational sessions—all free—as part of Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcome), an initiative founded 20 years ago to improve patient care. It connects specialists and experts with health care providers.

As of press time, Pallium Canada listed 17 upcoming national and local ECHO sessions, as well as more than 80 recorded past sessions online to view. The five-year palliative care ECHO project is funded by Health Canada.
