Editor’s corner
Thank you to the nearly 200 readers who took part in our recent Newsletter survey. While the majority of readers expressed satisfaction with the Newsletter as is, we did hear that keeping things shorter would be appreciated by some. Some readers also asked for more information they can use in clinical practice (coincidentally, this month’s Feature is exactly that), as well as an even greater emphasis on sharing of news and experiences between palliative care groups in low- and middle-income countries.
We have listened! Changes are being discussed; once finalized, I will share them with you and you will see them enacted.
In the meantime, you may have noticed our renewed emphasis on helping readers find the information that interests them the most by:
- adding mini descriptions for each section, in the online Table of Contents and the emailed Newsletter sent to members;
- publishing only each month’s new listings for an online Calendar, instead of having a Newsletter-only Calendar with all listings repeated each month;
- using more — and more informational — subheads in columns and stories that are longer than a few paragraphs.
I am looking forward with great anticipation to another year of sharing palliative care news and information, and cultivating a lively forum where a multiplicity of voices are heard.
Best wishes,
Alison Ramsey
