Palliative Care Basics Course
This “Palliative Care Basics Course” is presented in collaboration with the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC).
Learning objectives
This course is aimed at improving palliative care knowledge and basic skills for health professionals, including nurses, physicians, academics, administrators, and researchers.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including understanding the principles of palliative care, such as pain and symptom management, communication, and psychosocial support.
Participants who complete all modules will receive a certificate of completion of the course.
Requirements
Current IAHPC members.
Target audience
The target audience is health care professionals working in palliative care, including: Physicians and nurses working in primary care who encounter patients with palliative care needs. Other health care professionals (pharmacists, physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, social workers, etc.) who interact with patients with palliative care needs and their families.
