APAD Program
We recently announced the launching of the Advocacy and Partnerships Development (APAD) Program, designed to support palliative care organizations aspiring to build capacity and constructive partnerships to improve service provision in their own countries or regions. This program aligns with the IAHPC thematic areas of work identified in the IAHPC 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. It falls under Advocacy, one of the our four foundational areas of work, and seeks to achieve the IAHPC Strategic Objective 1.2: “To develop a global cadre of IAHPC members to advocate for improved access to essential palliative care medicines at national, regional, and global levels.”
The APAD program includes an award of up to $2,500 US for institutions or organizations working to advance palliative care in their countries. It also includes mentoring from IAHPC staff and board members, as appropriate, for two years. More information about the APAD Program is available the News section and on the IAHPC website.
Welcome to a new IAHPC team member!
Please join us welcoming the newest member of our team, Debra Pledger-Fonte. Many of us met Debra several years ago, when she worked with the International Leadership Development Initiative. She joins the IAHPC as Coordinator of Membership Benefits and is providing vital support to grantees of our programs.
We are very excited to have Debra as part of the IAHPC team! You can read her bio or say hello!
Until next month,
