Thank you notes

Dear Liliana,

I received a copy of the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Medicine - second edition sent by you. I have just glanced through topics and I am sure we will be greatly benefited by it. Glad to inform you that our Hospice is doing a good job and gaining experience in tackling new problems everyday-but we have miles to go before we sleep....  Any help, and or suggestion, from you is always welcome.

God Bless you and all at IAHPC. Once again thanking you,

With best wishes,
Rukmani

Dear Liliana,

I would like to inform IAHPC that we have received the books and journals
IAHPC donated to the hospice program of Philippine General Hospital/
Palcare.

Bellow are pictures of our staff receiving the materials in our humble
hospice library.

If you have more books and self-help books for patients and
volunteers, please don’t hesitate to send them to us. Please extend our sincere thanks.

Thank you so much

Subject: List of essential medicines for palliative care

Dear Liliana!

I just would like to thank you for the elaboration of the list (List of essential Medicines for Palliative Care). We are just in course of starting a brand new hospice (freestanding, entirely new building just specifically for this purpose) in Sundsvall, Sweden. We have already registered it on the IAHPC list. In preparing our list for the basic medicines we are going to use, we had a tremendous help of the list of essential medicines. We adapted it of course to our local and national circumstances concerning the choice of some brands, and we added some medicines, but there were not many we had to add. I also showed the first did not have many suggestions for changes. We now work closely together with our local pharmacy in order to get a well functioning supply in our stock.

Many kindest regards, and thanks again.

Matthias Brian, palliative care physician,
Mellannorrlands Hospice, Sundsvall, Sweden
