Lina M. Rozo

Finance officer

The goal of Lina’s work as IAHPC Finance Officer is to ensure the accuracy, transparency and timeliness of the organization’s finances.

Lina works closely with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure that the organization has the funding needed to implement projects, programs and fixed expenses. She is responsible for preparing budgets, keeping the accounting books, paying grantees and vendors, supporting the payroll process, and preparing the information needed for the annual filings with US government, as required by law.

Lina has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, where she was born. Her special areas of interest are strategy, finance, data analytics and compliance. She worked as a general manager for a coffee shop in Houston and as a business consultant for KPMG Colombia before joining IAHPC in May 2005. Lina participated in several projects focused on improving business performance and re-engineering project management.

Lina lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband and her two daughters.
